Robert W. Moje, AIA, LEED AP
| Principal
Bob, a founding Principal of VMDO, has been involved with the
planning and design of educational and institutional facilities
for over 25 years. His work is distinguished by his strong commitment
to creating facilities that meet and even surpass his clients’ visions.
He was the Principal-in-Charge of Manassas Park High School, perhaps
most representative of VMDO’s design philosophy. Since
the school opened in 1999, its design has won multiple honors,
including from the National School Boards Association, the National
American Institute of Architects (AIA), Virginia Society AIA,
and the Virginia School Boards Association.
Bob has participated in and presented at numerous conferences
on the state and national level, including the Virginia School
Boards Association Annual Convention, the Thomas Jefferson Center
for Educational Design, the Virginia Governor’s Conference
for Education, the Shenandoah Valley Educational Consortium, and
the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education. He has served
as a juror for the National School Boards’ Learning by Design "Excellence
in Design" Awards and co-authored an article in their Learning
by Design annual journal. Bob was also the only architect to be
appointed to the Commonwealth of Virginia Joint House/Senate Subcommittee
on Educational Infrastructure. |
